Garden Maintenance & Design

At Cudmore Curbscapes, we will come to your property to help identify plants and discuss troubling garden issues and methods. We are experienced gardeners who will be happy to improve the appearance and sustainability of your gardens. We can create beautiful annual and perennial gardens that burst with color and texture or help you create window boxes, seasonal displays, and potted arrangements. We combine northern New England’s overall landscape and personality with your personal taste to create a garden you’ll love to escape to.

Planting

Planting season is short. The window of planting opportunity coupled with the limited time you have on your hands is not always conducive to creating the garden you’d love to enjoy. Let us deal with the hassle of planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and vegetables so you can spend more time playing in your yard and less time working in it!

Weeding

Are you in need of an extra pair of hands to get those invasive weeds out of your garden? We offer one-time cleanups of your beds and routine maintenance plans – whatever your weeding needs happen to be, we have the perfect option for you.

Pruning

We know what it takes to complete a pruning job that is much needed. Whether it’s for aesthetic, growth control, deadwood, or safety reasons, we will prune your landscape. We also know how to troubleshoot infestations you may have, fungal or pest.

Rose Care

Roses have potential to cause diseases throughout the garden beds, as well as pests. Common pests and diseases include winter moth, saw fly, black spot, and powdery mildew.

Container Designs

Container designs are gems of the landscape. They primarily consist of annuals. We work to design from your color palette and within your budget. We enjoy planting with annuals that last throughout the fall months.

Landscape Designs

Whether you are looking for a restoration design, an overhaul or have a fresh palate, we have a solution for you.

Integrated Pest Management

We provide guidance and planning for soil remedy as well as scouting for pests and fungi. We also plan the process for enhancing your soil’s condition.

Bulbs

Bulbs can be a wonderful garden ornament throughout the year. While our traditional bulbs are treasured by many, there is an incredible number of varieties to choose from for spring, summer and fall. Some examples are Allium, Scilla, Iris, Gladiolus, Hyacinth, Starflower and last but not least, Daffodils.

Mulching

We source mulch for our clients, including black mulch and brown feeding mulch. We take the time to edge the beds with a nice deep cut and remove all debris from the beds before laying the mulch. We work diligently to lay the mulch before weeds grow to their fullest during the late spring and early summer. Weeds have a longer growing season so it takes partnership to maintain a clean look. A weed is a plant out of place in the mind of a Master Gardener.

Deadheading

Deadheading is essential to ward off diseases, pests, and over all aesthetic of the garden. Here is a list of perennials that will re bloom throughout the growing season after deadheading.

  • Monarda (Bee Balm)
  • Delphiniums
  • Globe Thistle
  • Echinacea
  • Shasta Daisy
  • Yarrow
  • Dianthus
  • Garden (Volcano) Phlox
  • Perennial Salvia
